Phoenix is the capital of the Valley of the Sun, a huge multi-city metropolitan area famed for its year-round sunshine. It is recognized for high-end spa resorts, golf courses, and thriving nightlife, in addition to a variety of home styles, condos, townhomes, and single-family homes.

Because of the big retiree population, one- and two-bedroom houses and condos are high in demand and likely to be redesigned and renovated for house growing families. For this reason, the list below includes the best home addition contractors in Phoenix, Arizona.

Homework Remodels

4105 N 20th Street, Suite 210, Phoenix, AZ 85016

Homework Remodels, founded by Steve Shinn in 2005, is one of the most well-known renovation companies in the Phoenix area. It is a multi-award-winning company that has won the NARI Contractor of the Year Awards and the 2020 Regional CotY in the Entire House $250,000-$500,000 category. Its portfolio includes well-known single-family homes with modern, contemporary, and classic designs that have appeared in publications like Phoenix Home and Garden and SuCasa. The company is the only remodeler in Arizona to be certified as a Certified Remodeler, Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler, Green Certified Professional, and Universal Design Certified Remodeler by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

This home remodel was completed by Homework Remodels, who worked closely with the owners of this Gainey Ranch builder-grade home in the 1990s to ensure the clients received a jewel-encrusted mansion with a midwestern theme. Feminine swirls in bespoke ironwork, macho dark woods, and a large stone fireplace are hidden behind a pair of elegantly carved wooden doors. The exquisite marble and granite medallion on the floor prove eye-catching as well. The curves in it are repeated in the magnificent chandeliers.

The exposed ceiling beams give the family room’s high ceiling a decorative element that adds warmth, rustic flair, and architectural detail. Clean lines, natural components, understated elegance, and functionality characterize the modern Scandinavian interior designs, which accentuate the open space.
